KCCS was incorporated under the Cooperative Societies Ordinance 1977 [Chapter 14] to trade in copra as specified in the copra marketing ordinance cap 15 of the Laws of Kiribati.
Copra after sun dried and packed in jute bags on the outer islands including the Line islands are then transported by local shipping lines to Tarawa, Capital of Kiribati, to effect selling at the best price [FOB] or [CIF] to interested overseas buyers in Asian Markets especially the Phillipines and Bangladesh are most preferred. Selling Kiribati Copra is based on selling contracts approved by the KCCS Board of Directors.
KCCS remain as the only company having the authority to only sell sun dried copra produced by local farmers in Kiribati.
We are regularly Selling: sun dried raw copra.
We are regularly Buying: 50 kg jute bags, container internal linings, conveyer belts for copra handling into containers, 30 kg jute bags, openings on top of containers to load in copra in bulk, warehouse folklifts, 100 to 200 kg hanging scales, handling copra machinery equipments. |
