I am Mr. Remigius Mushenga the executive director of Ngerengere River Eco Camp based in Morogoro Tanzania. As you can see in the website with many other projects we are very much concerned with environmental issues. With that, for a quit long time I have been working with charcoal producers in Morogoro and Pwani regions in Tanzania. Charcoal production has been a major occupation of our rural people in this region. I am afraid to say that, our people have never benefited from charcoal business as the income do not comply with production cost, time and energy spent, For that reason, we came up with an introduction of a project we called sustainable charcoal production, whereby new methods of charcoal production were introduced. These includes: Producing charcoal in a special kilns we named HALF ORANGE BRICK KILN in which carbonation took very minimal time. With that we are dealing with exportation of spices, cassava as well as hostel for travel.
We are regularly Selling: hard wood charcoal, live goats, spices, cassava, charcoal. |
