Killarney Plastics was established in 1973,
to manufacture Glass Reinforced Plastic,
GRP (fibreglass) cold-water storage tanks
for the building industry. The company was
incorporated in 1980 and through a
significant business expansion plan,
expanded its product range, including the
manufacture of Composite Sheet Moulding
Compound (SMC) materials and Sectional
Water Storage Tanks, Automotive
Components and Wastewater Treatment
Systems.
In 1998 Killarney Manufacturing Group
Limited (KMG) was incorporated.
Headquartered in Ireland, with multiple
manufacturing locations in the UK, the
group is dedicated to manufacturing
composite solutions for the construction,
automotive, rail, aeronautical and
environmental sectors. KMG now
manufacture products as diverse as,
fireproof train seats, electrical & gas
metering cabinets, Composite door skins,
computer totes, wastewater treatment
plants, safety products and specialist
Composite Compounds for companies like
Rolls Royce and Opel.
